The Farm

The 10th Beach of Christmas is ‘ The Farm’…..yes, on the South Coast, in Killalea State Park, Shellharbour there is a beach with such a name.

It is a true gem, a South Coast marvel, an unpatrolled stretch of pristine coastline,  surf board rider paradise, surrounded by national park.

To me, ‘ The Farm’ was the stuff of folk-lore and fairytales. I did not actually believe such a place existed on the South Coast….and if it did it baffled me as to why I had not been their having spent the first 25 years of my life in the Illawarra.

Even yesterday, after spending my morning in this beachside paradise, on asking a number of Illawarra locals if they had ever been to ‘ The  Farm’, the answer, 9 times out if 10 was ‘ No’

‘ The Farm’, not a cow, tractor or horse in sight…. Just blue ocean doted with board riders in on one of the South Coast’s best kept secrets. And now I am sharing this with you, fellow readers.

And whilst the sun failed to shine, The picture complete with overcast skyline are stunning, of a beach day with my Father. I am hoping between to return to ‘The Farm’ on a sunny day to re-review this magical place. A place of such beauty deserves a second chance to shine…..
